The daily operations of the ºÚÁÏÉç are managed and administered by the senior management team.
Dr. Patrick RoweRegistrar and CEO Dr. Patrick Rowe obtained his medical degree from the University of British Columbia in 1992. Until recently, he practised as an emergency room physician at the University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George and served as the regional medical lead, emergency and trauma for Northern Health Authority. Dr. Rowe assumed the role of registrar and CEO of the ºÚÁÏÉç in December 2023. | ||
Mr. Michael EppChief Operating Officer Mr. Michael Epp received his master of business administration from Simon Fraser University in 1997 while working at the BC Medical Association (now Doctors of BC). During his 15 years with the BCMA, he held various senior positions, including director, policy and planning in the last five years. Mr. Epp has been a lecturer at UBC’s Master of Health Administration Program. Mr. Epp joined the ºÚÁÏÉç as chief operating officer in 2007. | Responsibilities

Mr. Graeme Keirstead, KCDeputy Registrar, Chief Legal Counsel Mr. Graeme Keirstead graduated with a law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1991 and was called to the Bar in 1992. He worked at the Law Society from 1999, responsible for a number of different portfolios, until joining the ºÚÁÏÉç in 2013 as chief legal counsel. | Responsibilities

Ms. Corinne de BruinExecutive Director Ms. Corinne de Bruin graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of British Columbia and is certified with the Canadian Society of Association Executives. Prior to joining the ºÚÁÏÉç as director, registration services in 2012, she held management positions in strategic planning, policy and program development at the Ministry of Finance, Workers’ Compensation Board and Legal Services Society. Ms de Bruin assumed the position of executive director, registration services in 2016. | Responsibilities

Dr. David UngerDeputy Registrar Dr. David Unger received his medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992 and went on to complete a master of science in bioethics from Albany Medical School in New York. He practised as a family physician in British Columbia focusing on vulnerable populations living with HIV/AIDS and addiction. Most recently he worked at Providence Health Care as the director of ethics. Dr. Unger joined the ºÚÁÏÉç as a deputy registrar in 2017. | Responsibilities

Dr. Derek PuddesterDeputy Registrar Dr. Derek Puddester received his medical degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1995. Most recently he was an associate professor in the department of psychiatry and led special projects for innovation/evaluation in the postgraduate medical education office. He is an expert in physician wellness and occupational psychiatry and has spent almost two decades working in physician health across several sectors. Dr. Puddester joined the ºÚÁÏÉç as a deputy registrar in 2020. | Responsibilities

Dr. Christine HallDeputy Registrar Dr. Christine Hall obtained her medical degree from the University of Calgary in 1996. She attained her FRCPC in emergency medicine in 2001 and completed an MSc in clinical epidemiology in 2002. She has practised as an emergency physician in both Calgary and Victoria, and most recently worked as executive medical director and acting vice president, medicine for Island Health. Dr. Hall joined the ºÚÁÏÉç as a deputy registrar in 2024. | Responsibilities
