ºÚÁÏÉç Board member appointed to the Order of Canada
The ºÚÁÏÉç would like to congratulate board member, Dr. Margo Greenwood, for being appointed to the Order of Canada. On December 29, 2021, Governor General Mary Simon announced the appointment of Dr. Margo Greenwood as an officer of the Order of Canada, one of the highest honours in the country.
Dr. Greenwood is an academic leader of the National Collaborating Centre for Aboriginal Health and an Indigenous scholar of Cree ancestry with years of experience focused on the health and well-being of Indigenous children, families and communities. She also holds a professor appointment in both the First Nations studies and education programs at the University of Northern British Columbia. She was appointed to the ºÚÁÏÉç Board in 2021, and received the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award in 2002 and a National Aboriginal Achievement Award in 2011.
