Seeking public feedback regarding physicians and surgeons obtaining consent
The ºÚÁÏÉç is currently in the process of creating a practice standard that outlines when a physician or surgeon must obtain consent from their patients and the rules they must follow when doing so. Consent allows for individuals to make choices about their medical care and is needed at many different times during interactions with physicians or surgeons.
The ºÚÁÏÉç is seeking public input to learn about the experiences and expectations patients have in relation to their physician or surgeon asking them for consent.
This feedback will help shape the ºÚÁÏÉç’s practice standard, Consent to Treatment, and determine what a separate resource on the topic of patient consent might contain.
Please share your feedback with us by completing before June 13, 2022.
