Continuing competency requirements
All registrants must comply with continuing professional development (CPD) requirements.
Registrants are required to enrol in CPD programs provided by either the Royal ºÚÁÏÉç of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the ºÚÁÏÉç of Family Physicians of Canada, the Collège des médecins du Québec, or the ºÚÁÏÉç of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
Requirement for physicians and surgeons
Medical practitioner registrants must enrol in and comply with CPD requirements in order to renew their licence each year.
The ºÚÁÏÉç considers the following CPD programs acceptable:
- (through the ºÚÁÏÉç of Family Physicians of Canada)
- (through the Royal ºÚÁÏÉç of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada)
- Proof of enrolment in and compliance with the Collége des médecins du Québec’s CPD requirements
Requirement for podiatric surgeons
Podiatric surgeons must enrol in and comply with CPD requirements in order to renew their licence each year.
