Private facilities seeking COVID-19 accreditation

As directed by Dr. Bonnie Henry: Any site, laboratory, or company that charges clients for symptomatic or asymptomatic point-of-care (POC) testing for COVID-19 is required to receive full independent accreditation through the Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP).

When can I start?

After completion of all nonconformances.

The DAP is the only regulatory body in BC that can grant an accreditation award on behalf of it’s governing authority.

Accreditation is granted by the DAP Committee when a facility has met all the mandatory requirements. Once an award is granted, the DAP will issue a letter and certificate.

Patient testing can begin once the DAP provides confirmation of accreditation.

You will be contacted by email and notified when patient testing can begin. This will be followed up with a letter and certificate.
