On the second annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the ºÚÁÏÉç would like to recognize the tragic legacy of residential schools and acknowledge the ongoing impact of colonization on Indigenous Peoples.

A citation has been issued for Dr. Daniel Yoshio Nagase, a family physician and former registrant of the ºÚÁÏÉç.

Working in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the ºÚÁÏÉç of Pharmacists of BC (CPBC) has approved changes to permit pharmacists in BC to administer a wider range of drugs by injection and intranasal route, and to adapt existing prescriptions for a wider range of drugs and conditions.

A registrant has admitted that they failed to maintain professional boundaries with a patient.

In light of recent events related to physician shortages, the ºÚÁÏÉç has seen an increase in questions related to its registration and licensing processes.

The ºÚÁÏÉç of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia held its 2022 Annual General Meeting virtually on September 23, 2022.

The ºÚÁÏÉç is currently in the process of updating a practice standard that outlines when it is acceptable for a physician or surgeon to advertise and promote their services to the public, and the rules they must follow when doing so.

The Board resolved to make further amendments to section 1-23 of the Bylaws. The revised bylaw amendment will be posted for a 21-day period, providing registrants and other interested parties the opportunity to review and comment.
