The Prescribing Methadone practice standard has been updated to remove the requirement for mandatory training when prescribing methadone for analgesia. Additionally, the standard was updated to note that prescriptions are to be written on the new harmonized duplicate pad.

A panel of the Inquiry Committee of the ºÚÁÏÉç made an interim order pursuant to section 35(1) of the Health Professions Act suspending Dr. Stephen Craig Malthouse from practising medicine during the investigation of file IC 2022-0323.

The Board resolved to make further amendments to section 7-4 of the Bylaws. The revised bylaw amendment will be posted for a 60-day period, providing registrants and other interested parties the opportunity to review and comment.

On March 7, 2022, the Provincial Health Officer issued an Order under the Public Health Act that applies to all colleges and health professionals regulated under the Health Professions Act.
