The ºÚÁÏÉç is pleased to announce that the 2023/24 Annual Report, audited financial statements and committee reports have been published.

To mark this day, the ºÚÁÏÉç has released a two-part episode of its new podcast, Connecting the Dots, which highlights practical suggestions for breaking down systemic barriers and providing Indigenous patients with culturally safe care.

The revised proposed bylaw amendments will be posted for a two-week period, providing ºÚÁÏÉç registrants and other interested parties the opportunity to review and comment.

With the growing integration of unregulated Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in health care, including large language models, it is important that the ºÚÁÏÉç provides registrants with guidance to promote the safe, effective, and ethical utilization of these tools.

On February 23, 2024, the ºÚÁÏÉç Board approved proposed amendments to the Bylaws under the Health Professions Act, RSBC 1996, c.183 (HPA) specifically, the below sections related to registration.

British Columbians are invited to contribute their knowledge, skills and expertise by sitting as members of ºÚÁÏÉç committees. All ºÚÁÏÉç committees are comprised of registrant and public members.

The ºÚÁÏÉç library is permanently closed as of March 15, 2024. This difficult decision was made after careful consideration of data showing significant decrease in library use over the years.

On February 23, 2024, the ºÚÁÏÉç Board approved further amendments to sections 10-1 and 10-3 of the Bylaws.

Several minor revisions have been made to the Medical Assistance in Dying practice standard and its accompanying FAQ document to ensure they remain current.
