UBC medical student
Medical students enrolled in the accredited Doctor of Medicine (MD) undergraduate program and the combined MD/PhD program at the must be registered with the ºÚÁÏÉç.
Medical students from other universities wishing to complete an elective in BC must be registered too.

How to apply
Medical students entering the MD or MD/PhD program at UBC are registered with the ºÚÁÏÉç through the .
Applicants have to complete an application form, pay fees and submit supplementary documentation as part of the application process.
Medical students cannot begin their studies until their licence has been issued.
Maintaining the licence
The UBC Faculty of Medicine notifies the ºÚÁÏÉç directly of each medical student’s continuation in their program.
Ongoing registration and licensure is maintained by the medical student by
- completing the annual licence renewal form to the satisfaction of the ºÚÁÏÉç, and
- online payment of the annual licence renewal fee as detailed in Schedule A of the ºÚÁÏÉç Bylaws.
Licence renewal process
The annual licence renewal process is accessed through the registrant portal. Medical students will be notified about the licence renewal process by email in the spring of each year.
Failure to complete the annual licence renewal process will result in the cancellation of a medical student’s licence. The licence will be reinstated when the annual licence renewal form is completed to the satisfaction of the ºÚÁÏÉç, and online payment of all outstanding fees are made.
