Who can nominate and be nominated

The rules governing board elections fall under sections 1-6 to 1-12 of the Bylaws under the Health Professions Act.

  • A registrant must not nominate or second more than one candidate.
  • Nominations must be made and seconded in writing and must be signed by the registrant making and seconding the nomination and endorsed with the acceptance of the candidate.
  • Every nomination must be seconded in writing by a registrant entitled to vote who has a business address in the district where the candidate is nominated.

How to nominate

  1. Complete the Nomination Form.
  2. Mail or email (a scanned attachment) of the completed form to the registrar’s office:

What to do if you were nominated

Candidates will be contacted to:

  • complete a survey for the purpose of developing a relevant professional profile and statement of intent that aligns with the skills, competencies and experience composition matrix for board members
  • submit a current CV (for ºÚÁÏÉç records)
  • submit a professional headshot (jpeg)

All the above, excluding CVs, will be published on the ºÚÁÏÉç website once all submissions have been received. Please note that submissions will be edited to conform to ºÚÁÏÉç editorial standards.

Important dates

  • January 13 â€“ notification of election to registrants
  • February 15 – deadline for nominations
  • March 1 – online voting begins
  • April 6 â€“ online voting ends
  • April 7 â€“ announcement of new elected board members
