Notification of Bylaw Amendments: Section 7-5
On February 28, 2020, the ºÚÁÏÉç Board approved an amendment to the Bylaws under the Health Professions Act, RSBC 1996, c.183, specifically, section 7-5.
The proposed amendment to section 7-5 allows the ºÚÁÏÉç to enforce a new requirement that all registrants practising in community settings

The ºÚÁÏÉç is currently drafting a new Cultural Safety and Humility practice standard to clearly communicate its expectations of physicians and surgeons in providing culturally safe care to Indigenous patients. All members of the public are encouraged to share their feedback on the draft principles

As part of the regular review cycle for practice standards and professional guidelines, the previously titled Withdrawal of Registrant Services practice standard was reviewed and revised to incorporate a new title, more inclusive pronouns, and clearer principles related to the standard’s application
